As an aspiring physician and  the fact that I myself am affected by the side effects of ciprofloxacin, I can safely accompany you through the difficulties that the disease FQAD brings with it.

Since I suffer from the side effects myself, I had to deal extensively with possible etiology, pathogenesis, diagnostics and therapy of FQAD. I therefore lack neither empathy nor knowledge to help you on your way to recovery.

When I launched the FQAD Support Team Project in 2020, I didn’t think that the demand would be so big and unfortunately still growing.

Meanwhile, I look after over 100 affected patients and have several consultations per week.

Together I hope that we can find a way to relieve your symptoms as much as possible and improve your quality of life.

Despite the serious side effects I suffered in the years after ciprofloxacin, I can laugh again. This is partially thanks to increasing recognition, research and our own development of potential therapy options. There is still a long way to go to solve  “Fluoroquinolone Associated Disability”. I hope to do my part with my work as a consultant and with my own research in this field.

Book a consultation with Marco Karrer

Thank you for your interest in booking a Consultation.
Due to more bookings and simultaneously having to prepare for exams this year, I have no further spots available for calls until September.
If you’re interested in having an individual consultation, I’ll recommend you book one with Ferdinand Dirsch to discuss one on one your specific questions about FQAD.
